My interest in both graphics and calligraphy has led to a series exploring the shapes of different words. The ways in which letters intersect and play with each other provides rhythmic patterns across the piece.

Related to 'Etcetera, Etc.', this piece explores the repeating pattern through a rotation. This has allowed a 'wave' to form.

Whaam (2024)
85 x 85cm (33.5 x 33.5ins) framed,

This is a piece in honour of the great mid-20th century American artist Roy Lichtenstein, whose work was based on compic strips. One of his most famous pieces shows an aircraft firing on another aircraft, with the word "WHAAM" denoting the explosion. The colours used are the same used as in Lichenstein's piece.

Not only is Mbappe a great footballer, he has a terrific name! The letters mix together with the colours of the French Tricolore. The addition of gold gives an extra bit of excitement and celebrate him winning various golden boots in tournaments.

This is a play with intersecting sine curves turned at 90 degrees.

This is a play with coloured straight lines. These lines are applied to different sides of layered perspex sheets, creating an interplay of depth between the two shapes.

This is a continuation of a previous piece called 'Celtic Knot'. This is a piece made from three separate perspex sheets. The layers are split apart, enabling the various elements to dialogue in chaotic translation.

This is a play with coloured radiating lines. These are applied to different sides of two perspex sheets, creating a depth interplay between the lines. As the viewer moves, the 'moire' effect is produced.
